Hi all,
I've been tinkering with PCs a long time and this is the most bizarre thing I've ever seen --- I was wondering if anyone has seen anything like this:
Room has 3 PCs
PC 1 - 17" Planar LCD monitor & 19" CRT on an ATI 9700 Pro
PC 2 - 21" Dell LCD monitor on an Nvidia 6800 GT
PC 3 - 19" Dell LCD monitor on an Nvidia 6800 GT
PC 1 & 2 are plugged into one power strip and outlet, PC 3 is plugged in across the room to a different power strip and outlet.
So we're sitting at our PCs and suddenly all 3 LCDs randomly reset themselves twice in a row, about 10 seconds apart. On the Dells we saw the Dell UltraSharp startup screen, the Planar just goes black and then comes back on. Nothing happens to the CRT, the PCs did not reboot, and all the clocks and appliances in the house are still fine -- usually they're the first to go in a momentary power outage.
I've never seen anything like this, so I'm really curious as to what might cause it. 3 completely different PCs with 2 brands of LCDs, different graphics cards etc. So strange! Anyone have any thoughts?
