Strange issue with SIS 650 based notebook...

I've been troubleshooting an issue for a friend with a SIS 650 based notebook which is quite odd. He bought a wireless G card for his new wireless setup at home, and whenever he copies large files across the network it will lock up the notebook. Light-weight network usage is fine, surfing the net etc... but any heavy duty copying and it will completely lock up. I've tried two completely different G cards, both do the same thing (belkin and linksys). As soon as I put a b based card in, no problems it works fine copying large files...

Any ideas?

This may sound strange but try lowering the MTU

Also disable all power management and turn on step by step

I'll give that a shot tonight, very strange issue thats for sure.
