strange issue with a notebook i have...

when i install ANY vid card driver for this notebook, radeon crimson driver 16.4.2, 17.2.1 and the current 17.11.1, in device manager, it says the vid cards have been stopped because it has reported problems.

when i go to load radeon settings.. it says no amd graphics driver is installed, or the amd driver is not functioning properly. please install the amd driver appropriate for your amd hardware

but installed the drivers that win 10 installs when i install win 10 fresh.. no issues with device manager..
any thoughts ??
 
What is the make and exact model number of the laptop? Please do not reply with it's a Dell Latitude EXXXX or whatever. That won't be helpful.
 
hmmm i guess no one has any ideas as to why... but.. it seems like it is an issue with the creators update.. something broke 🙂
