Strange. I'm almost absolutely sure WinMX crashes my w2k box....

Just put it on server today, and it crashed in win2k.sys over and over.

Stopped running it, no more crashes.

Booted into 98, crashing mfc42.dll.....

Have w2k OS on laptop, installed MX there. No problems.

Have it running for 5 hours.

Anyone else see anything?

I dunno, tried both, and I am partial to MX....

Morpheus starts itself with windows even if you disable it during install.

Pisses me off.

You know, there is such a thing as MSCONFIG.

Have you tried using a registry cleaner? Maybe an old install left some weird entries and is fscking with an updated version?

First wiseguys... No MSCONFIG on w2k.

Second, you can uncheck the box that states start with os....

Although you do that.... It came up after first reboot.....

And no, it doesn't start itself anymore....

HKLM\software\M$\windows\RUN delete offending statup proggie.....

You can import the msconfig file from win98 or winxp into your 2000. And, well what d'ya know, IT WORKS!
