Strange hotmail behavior

I get plenty of phishing scam e-mails, but now when I click to report it, the window pops up saying 'thanks for reporting' but clicking ok on it doesn't close it.

The only way to get back to e-mail is to us right click back on the browser to exit hotmail and then go back into hotmail. And the reported mail is still in my inbox.

Any idea better than things like 'clear your cookies'? Just did that a few days ago and had to log back in to a bunch of sites.

Clearing cookies and old temp files are the only way to remove corrupted data so uncorrupted data is used. Since you've just recently done that and the issue persists it probably wasn't the problem. Is your browser set to refresh on each visit to the page? If not then you might try using that setting to see if it corrects that behavior.

Have you considered using a password manager like bitwarden or lastpass? That would alleviate your logon problem by keeping this information separate from your browser.
