hey fellas hope I could use some of the expert advice spiraling around on these boards. Lately when I let my computer hibernate while im at work or asleep(after about 8 hours or so), I come back and my desktop is all screwed up. My taskbar ends up ontop of my screen and I my windows etc are all buggered. a quick restart fixes it but it still pisses me off!! I originally thought it to be a driver issue so I switched to omega drivers (used a driver cleaner and all). but the problem persists. I am a gamer and I have my machine slightly over clocked.

what I have done so far:
*switched video drivers
*reformatted and switched HDD's
*tested memory (no errors), even removed them one by one to see if it was a module
*updated windows XP pro
*updated MB bios

specs:
AMD opteron 165 @ 2.4 GHz
sapphire ATI x850XT @ stock clock atm
DFI lanparty NF4 unltra-D
2 gigs of dual channel Geil valueram with conservative settings
WD raptor 74 GB HDD (windows boot)
320 GB Seagate cuda (storage)
580 watt Hiper power supply
excellent air cooling on the case, core and GPU

temps are fine, gaming seems ok and computer runs great otherwise

any thoughts?

This is all i can think of

Reset cmos
Stop over clocking
Upgrade to Vista

Why upgrade to vista?? This is why i think upgrading to vista will help.. Vista has a new feture called sleep, it combines hibernate and standby into one big powersaver...
