Strange HD booting problem

He says...

"You have to turn it off, turn off the power switch on the back of the CPU case, wait a few seconds, flip the switch back on, then boot up. that's the only way it initiates the HDD."

He is using SATA power adapter in a Raidmax case (w/ PSU)... pretty new, and an ASRock motherboard. I told him to go unplug everything and plug it all back in.

Do yall have any thoughts?

Thanks! 🙂

Yes. Replace the Raidmax power supply. Seriously, Raidmax is like the second or third worst brand of power supply ever and it has a fairly good chance of dying within the next few months and probably taking his computer with it. Problems like this are often the first indicator of a PSU going south.

eh thats what i was thinking... looks like they will have to shell out more money 🙁 everything has been breaking for them recently.
