Strange Handbrake audio issues.

This seems to be container dependent but if I encode a .mkv file to .m4v to work on my Droid Inc, everything works great.

However, if I try to encode a .mp4 or .avi to .m4v, the audio comes out screwy. Not out of sync, it's hard to describe but it sounds like blue whales humping each other.

Every non .mkv file I've encoded comes out screwed up, is there a setting I'm missing or can HB just not handle the different file types?

I'm not sure specifically how HandBrake handles it, but I generally demux audio/video out of the container and encode them separately and remux. Takes a little longer, though. I've always had problems from time to time with all-in-one auto converters like Handbrake or SUPER. I still use VirtualDubMod plus the VFW codecs and Audacity/Nero for video converting.

I don't use the M4V container, though. It's standards are a bit finnicky on Apple products compared to the other containers.
