Hey,

I'm hoping there's a quick fix for this one, it's driving me nuts. It seems that when I go to certain site that have a Windows Media Player video embedded in them, like news sites showing clips, my internet dies. I have to unplug my router for a few seconds and avoid said sites like the plague. There's a video at

this site

about JSFs in Oz that I can't watch because it kills my network. Has anyone heard of anything like this before? Is it a router (Linksys) thing? ISP, or what?

-Edit: I took my router out of the equation and can now watch videos, so that's where the problem is. It's a BEFW11S4 by Linksys. Is there a setting somehwere that could be messing things up?

Thanks for any help!

Also, I can't change my email address in my profile, it's set to one I haven't used in years but when I try to change it it says 'Error 578' and suddenly I'm not logged in any more.

I had this problem too. I believe there's a firmware update for the router that fixes this.

Hmm, thought it was fixed but I still can't watch a whole video from news sites. Some of them play, (enough to get my hopes up), but then it stops and nothing works. Imagine, wanting to watch video on the internet! That's crazy! My routers a reman. from Amazon or something, but that shouldn't make a difference should it? *everything* else works except video sites. And most of them (ebaum's and all that) do, there's just something about News station sites that mess it up..

Of course I found the fix after posting here, always the way it goes, you look and look, get frustrated and so you post here, THEN you find the answer in Google..

Still can't change my email address in my profile though..

Thanks btw, Matthias99.
