I was looking inside my computer case while it was on and I saw some dust on the side of the PSU so I just toched the side of it and the whole computer just shut down. I tried to reset and wouldn't turn on. I flipped the PSU switch to off for about 3 minutes and on again and tried to power on the computer and it briefly just gave power to the LEDs in the fan and that was it. So I said maybe I fried the PSU. So I unplugged the mother board connector and shorted the green wire with a black wire and to my surprise the PSU started and so did the fans and everything else in the computer. So I plugged the mother board connector back into the mother board and the computer powered on!
I'm a little worried about this. I almost thought I fried the MB. When I touched the PSU I had one hand on the PSU and the other hand was touching a metallic small LED flashlight.
What could have been the cause of this issue and should I be worried? I have no ground in the wall outlet. I won't be touching the inside of my case while its on again!
This is my PSU. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-371-047&SortField=0&SummaryType=0&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=4&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo
