Strange entry in system log

Anyone have any ideas what this is.

I am seeing it in the logs every so often and have no idea what is sending it or what it is.
Just little triangles with ? marks.

the log file is from
/var/log/message

That's weird. Have you tried opening the file in something like open office? Sounds like a weird utf or term issue.

Yeah I opened it in a couple different editors.
Everything is working fine, just wondering what it is.

It's most likely a font issue, whatever the characters really are you don't have them in your font.
