Strange CPU problim

On this just weirded me out. ive been runnin my XP 1700 at 1600 MHz (11.5x139) for a while now and everything has been fine. i unlocked it around X mass and it all went good. today i noticed something. MBM5 was sayin that i was runnin at 1525 (11x139) and i thought that was kinda strange. so i restatted and made sure thie bios were set for 11.5x139 and restarted. but that didnt work the bios startup reads 11x139.

So it seems that my processor had locked it self up after i unlocked it. now im wounderin if this is possiable. ive never heard of it has anyone else?? or is this a sign that my CPU is gonna die??? the last bios update i did was liek a month ago and it was runnin fine up untill today when i noticed it bein off. my temps have always been good. Idle 36C load 44C so i know its not a heat problim. i havent installed anything in a while or even opened the case in over a week. the last thing i did was install some case fans but that wouldent have anything to do with it cause there all runnin off the powersupply. i really want to know whats happinto mu CPU.

If all i need to do is unlock it again thats no biggie. but im worried it might be something more serious. so all the help i could get would be good

hmmm i'm no expert but maybe your graphite bridges got worn off or blown away? if you used pencil of course... i dunno

no pensil used its an XP chip that dosent work on them. used the thermal paint

ok i unloacked it again and i still dont have the 11.5x multliper back. now i cold have not fullyunlicked it i might try again later. however im runnin 11x143 (1581) now which is only 20MHz slower then before so im not gonna notice the diff. but um kinda mumbed. i liked runnin at 1600 o well
