That is one crazy looking heatsink. What are the dimensions and weight? Seems like a neat way of being passive, but with all my gear I am more worried about heat than noise.

The back case panel is made of aluminum.

Uh, I'm not so sure. Looks to me as if it is thin steel. I see this a lot, with people (who don't know any better) claiming a case is aluminum if it looks silver. Just stick a magnet to it!

looks to be meant for passive cooling? no fan you need more surface area.
