I have been having this problem that randomly my internet seems to stop working. I say "seems" because its only websites that wont load. AIM, Hamachi and other internet related programs still work. This even happens when I'm using remote desktop, The RD connection is fine but all of a sudden I can't load a single website on the remote (my house) box.
I don't think its a DNS issue because I can still ping sites from a command prompt. If I reboot everything goes back to normal until it wants to act up again.
I don't want to call Comcast because their tech support might as well be trained monkeys. Un plug the modem, reboot the pc. etc...
Anyone got any ideas? I'm wondering how hard it would be to get Comcast to replace the modem.
