Strange Computer Startup Problem

I have an AMD athlon 800mhz system that has been working great for ~1.5 years, but this morning when I went to turn it on it will not even post to BIOS. The motherboard makes none of the diagnostic sounds and nothing appears on the screen. The fans run, and the hard drive LED goes on but nothing else happens. Any ideas?
 
Have you changed any hardware recently? Maybe a cable or peripheral is loose. Also, have you dusted out your case in a while? 1.5 years of dust could explain a lot.
