strange charge on my card

i was looking at my online account history and noticed this charge on my account this morning


01/23/02 CHECK CRD PURCHASE 01/22 WP-VICAJO CONSULTA SINGAPORE GB $19.29
anyone recognize it by any chance?

No, I don't recognize it, but wouldn't you know if you bought something from Singapore? It sounds fishy.

Contact your CC company right away, sounds like fraud.
Had something similar on my card a while back (from sexmedic.net), a quick call to citibank verified that it was a scam and that many people had been reporting those false charges. (sexmedic.net doesn't even exist btw)
Didn't cost me anything

Just call the bank and ask them for more information. It might be something you brought but forgot about it.

I always find unusual things on my statements. Every single one has turned out to be a small store that I have never shopped at before. They often have another small store in some unusual location (like Singapore) and use that as the address for banks. This always occurs with craft fairs, gun shows, toy fairs, etc. People come from all over and you end up with a charge from some location that you've never heard of. I would still check it out, but I bet it is harmess.

i went ahead and cancelled my card and got another one. disputed the charge as well. the cust representative couldn't give me any information on the charge though. i figure at least it was only 19 bucks

You should make a note of yourself when charging something unusual.
