Strange (but trivial?) login problem

To recreate the situation, go to forums.anandtech.com with the IP address only (ie, http://216.151.100.125). Then try to log in. After the logon success page, the next web page will be forums.anandtech.com front page but with no user logged in.

I've tried this with IE 5, Opera 5, and Netscape 4.73 and they all seem to produce the same results. It's nothing major at all, but I thought I'd share it.. (maybe it does this by design?)

yeah, doesnt seem to keep the cookie. dunno why you'd need to use the IP addy though.

Please use the correct urls ;p Cookies are domain/path level ip addresses are not domains 🙂.
