i just bought The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind. i know its a bit late, but oh well lol. i always wanted to check out this game

so far i have liked it a lot. the graphics are great, especially for a game almost 4 years old.

the problem is that my game locks up all of a sudden. the first two times i played it, it locked up when i was about to get my papers and be officially released.

the second time was when i was released and got to the town. luckily i had saved the game this time, unlike my previous first 2 times.

i tried turning off the sound accelerator, and it helped for an extra minute or so. the game still locked up.

anyone experience this?

any help would be appreciated

Yep, I had the same issues when it first came out. Patch it up and you should be good to go

check out the forums on their website. There is an extremely long thread about all sorts of bugs in that game. Most notable are amd chips and sblives do not like the game. And EAX. And bad psu's. and moving the mouse. In fact dont breathe at all while playing. But seriously, I the site is really helpful in getting it to work.

Fun game once you get it working. A little hint, get the boots of blinding speed from one of the first quests in the forest near where you start and if you can cast spells, you can create a spell to negate the blinding effects. I forget exactly what it is but i made an enchanted item that levitated and cleared the blinding effects. Took no time at all to get anywhere, but it was very very expensive.
