Strange Bottleneck

Been an annoying night, I'm at my friends place and none of my gpu intensive games are lasting long without crashing. I can barely push my rig past 2.3 where I usually hit 2.6.

Then I found out his surge protector was too weak to support my computer... could have figured from looking at the thing, it's OLD.

Always the most obvious answer...

Better slap a block of aluminum on that core, it's gonna melt the case.

Did you try using some thermal adheasive and some old Socket A HSF's on the Suge Supressor?

explain how you arrived at this conclusion.

Talked to my friends roommate, Bin. I asked him what the his opinion was and he told me "John's computer does that to him all the time, look at his surge protector"

I look at the surge protector and say "oh... I get it now".

I'm limited to Step Step Mania and ATOT for tonight :).
