After comnig out of sleep sometimes these problems happen (about 1 in every 10 wakeups.):

Keybaord is inverted - Pressing a key will initiate the key as if i pressed shift as well.

Mousepad makes beeping sounds when i try to mouse the mouse, but the mouse won't move. The PC speaker goes - Beep beep beep while trynig to move the mouse.

The only way to fix the problem is to turn the computer off. A restart doesn't fix the issue.

I can use the mouse if i use my USB mouse when the problem happens.

Any ideas?

Laptop: HP 8730W
CPU: T9600
Ram: 4gb
SSD: Corsair Force 120
GPU: Quadro 2700m

I updated to the latest BIOS, but it didn't help 🙁.

Apparently that is a known issue with the 8730W. Some have solved it with a Video Driver update/re-install as it is tied in with hibernation/standby. If your battery is good or even average, disable hibernation completely and just use sleep mode.

Thanks very much for the info. I'll give your suggestions a go.
