I just looked, I now see "disk" in 'overview" in Task Mgr.....never even opened that tab before; never had a reason to.

Yeah, that is something MS should have starting long ago IMO. Still not enough to make me rush to upgrade, but an actual improvement nonetheless.

iulian81, what is your total upload speed?

The problems happen even when the torrents upload speed is very low like 50kbs. Anyway I tried Utorrent when I was not using any program that played video and sound and I got the feeling that sometimes for a brief period even less then a second, the mouse skips or lags, is not working 100% normal, it works sometimes choppy but almost indistinguishable.

So the problem might not have any relation with the sound at all!

Julian.....seriously, it may sound lame, and I am not familiar with what you are doing, but, is it possible that cause you seem to be uploading more thingies than anyone can count you are exhausting yr resources?

INCLUDING YR DRIVE?

I don't see how ANY APP CAN FUNCTION NORMALLY dealing with 70 of anything, it seems, simultaneously. Forget about BANDWIDTH.

Again, did what you are doing on the level you are doing it ever work normally or seamlessly with no issues?
Did U get a new copy? Did you try it with only, say 10 thingies?

Yeah, you need to limit the bandwidth used by utorrent, or stop using it entirely. At least while you are doing other things.
