JEFFERSON COUNTY - Deputies are looking for the two people who drove up alongside three young girls Monday afternoon and tried to get them into the car.
It happened a few blocks from the intersection South Simms Street and West Belleview Avenue.
The girls, ages 6, 6, and 9, said a woman driving a white four-door sedan pulled up along side of them and said, "come to my house to play, I have lots of toys." The girls said there was a baby in the back of the car who was crying. They said the woman was holding some duct tape.
The girls said there was also a man in the passenger seat of the car who was talking on a walkie-talkie radio. They said he seemed to be communicating with a gold or tan SUV that pulled up behind the car.
An 8-year-old boy down the street saw what was happening and got the girls to run away, the sheriff's department said.
Deputies are looking for the white car, which has tinted windows, a red interior and a zebra steering wheel. They are also keeping a lookout for the SUV, although they only have a very vague description.
The woman in the car was Asian. She had long black hair with blonde highlights and several tattoos on her arms. The man was also Asian, with short black hair and a medium sized tattoo on his right arm.
