Strange 8RDA+ sound problem

I just put a new video card (Powercolor 9700NP) in my 8RDA+ (upgraded from GF3) and now I seem to be getting some weird sound problems. In Windows the sound is fine (mp3's and windows sounds, etc) but once I play games (CS especially) it gets very strange...

The sound is garbled and muffled, almost like a speaker is blown or something, but I'm sure there's nothing wrong with my speakers. And I don't think it's CS, as it worked fine on my GF3.

Can anyone take a staab at this one? (btw "st_b" is a filtered word? wtf?)
 
Hey there. I'm not quite sure how a video card switch could fubar your sound. Could you elaborate on the specs a bit. Also, is this the dead one, or is this 8RDA+ a new one?

Oh, and the st*b thing was from awhile back in OT. It became an abused word IIRC, and was banned as such.
