strang problem with mouse in CS

I started to play counterstrike and I move the mouse a little and I lose control.
The mouse reacts to quickly it locks to full motion each way. I can not control it.
It works fine in Unreal and Quake3 it only does this in counterstrike. In the console I can not adjust the mouse setting. Anyone have the fix?
Using a MS explorer mouse.

Turn down the sensitivity a bit, or turn off mouse acceleration. That should help.

I must have hit the sensitivity slider by accident.

hmm, that happens to me too, but locks up the system.
