The low feedback sellers might be suspicious, but a 15-year-old eBay account with over 18000 positive feedback isn't. $79.99 for a $100 refill works out to $48 per month for your GoPhone plan, which is $3 more than StraightTalk.

I got my sim yesterday, LTE is weak in my house though and havent been anywhere to test it yet. I really dont have a need for lte as the speed on my previous sim was plenty fast for my needs

I am using my old sim and changed the APN info to the new lte settings.
Using the N4 so it isn't an LTE phone.

Wife has the same phone and I left her APN to the 'old' settings.

Speed difference when speedtest.net is run at the exact same time and location is about 1 mbps more in favor of the new APN settings.

EDIT: I am pulling on average 7 down. Low was 6.6 and the high was 7.2. Ran the tests over a 4 day period about a dozen times throughout each day both inside and outside.

After reading the thread on Howard Forums about this, I think you would be better off using AT&T's GoPhone $60 plan and buying discounted refills at 22% off on eBay.

$60 * .78 = $47/month

With the $60 plan, how much data do you get?

If the eBay seller offers 3 months and 1 month later AT&T cancels your GoPhone subscription stating stolen cc used, as a buyer do you have any recourse with eBay?

You have recourse through PayPal and/or your credit card company, if it falls within their allowed time frames for disputes/chargebacks. I would try PayPal first, then your CC.

But you can skip all the drama and just buy a PIN from an established seller, like the one I linked above. Skip new sellers with only a few hundred feedback.

I got it the other day and, unlike T-Mobile, AT&T's LTE is much faster but, in the Wall Street area where I work data is delayed and, somehow, my Google Maps did not work as well (probably because the gps was reliant on data). I think it was congestion because it got better when I got home

OTOH, the signal strength is much much better everywhere.

On my Note 2; gps never works well around tall buildings. Works fine when I'm driving outside the city or in a city with low buildings.

Here is a speedtest on my s4.
I took a speed test on the old sim before activating the new one. The tests are 10 minutes apart (porting from one st sim to another takes 1-2 minutes). My speeds went from 4.5/1 on the old att.mvno hspa+ sim to almost 13/10 on the new lte sim. Highest I ever got on the att.mvno hspa+ sim was about 6 mbps/1.5 at late night or on weekends.

And my highest speed test after playing with it for 5 minutes...

Technically, according to ST's ToS you aren't even allowed to use it for streaming video/audio, so I am going to guess no.

Technically their tos says no tethering but you can still run a hotshot and they wont know unless you start downloading large files and use a lot of data. I installed a custom ROM on my s4 and it works. I've only used it like twice though.

If you are using the stock rom you would have to get a third party hotspot app.

They have changed their terms and there is no longer anything stating they prohibit streaming audio. It's still there about streaming video though. Not really a problem unless you plan to stream Netflix all day.
