Storm that cam through here last friday {pics}

A wicked looking storm came through southern Michigan last friday (and all weekend) and on of my co-workers wives got some pics. None of these pics have been modified, it really looked like that (if not more so)

that's odd.

 

I was in Ann Arbor for that, working in a huge computer lab on the U-M campus. The room is basically a big atrium with huge windows on the ceiling. I thought we might have to evacuate it, but there was no tornado warning, so we stuck it out. Quite a sight outside though...the sky was green, but then it got BLACK. Literally, it seemed as though it was nighttime.

I was at the silver dome all weekend. Driving through that thing was a good time. At least 2 hours of lighting and intense rain. We probably hydroplaned for about a mile total of the 50 mile drive.

Very cool pictures.

One time when I was at Twin Bears Camp years ago, it was sixty below zero outside, and the sky was filled with the Aurora Borealis (mostly green, but a smattering of other colors) from horizon to horizon. It was about as bright as Noon, though it was close to Midnight.

In regards to the sixth photo down... I would NOT be standing outside if the sky was that colour.
Or I at least wouldn't be looking so casual about it.

We were catching the very edge of that storm here in Burlington, ON. Huge freaking lightning storms for 2 nights...my dad drove home from ohio through that massive storm friday, said he's never seen rain like that before.

thats not a storm. its the light from the alien mothership. u just cant see the mothership cuz its hidden by all the clouds...like in independence day
