lightning struck a transformer across the street, as in about 30 yards from my house. i didn't actually see it, i was just getting out of the shower when i heard it and the power went out...i looked out the front window and saw a bunch of black smoke coming from this transformer. this happened a few hours ago (power just came back on), and our cat still hasn't come out from under the bed, hehe.
