Confused

Well, what en eventful couple of days 🙁

Where do i start! I know, how about yesterday morning. So, i get up, go get some cereal, put it down on the table, go to take a mouthful and knock the WHOLE bowl (and contents) all over my lap, chair and floor, so i spend the next 10 mins tidying that up!

Get the computer packed up (i find it difficult sleeping without the whirring of computers) and then went off to do my 2(!) computer science exams. I get them done (1hr for first, 40mins for second, had 1hr30min for each one...so lots of sitting round!) and then go to find one of my friends. I get a message from her asking where i am, so after that we meet up and sit on the grass talking for about 45 mins, then we walk over the other side of the school cos she's in all this week doing her art project, and was supposed to be finding old clothes (from the Lost Property) so we go over there, and she finds her umbrella she lost 4yrs ago! :Q So, after that, went over to my car, said goodbyes (and got lots of hugs and kisses (and, no i don't have pics of her!)) and then left for a nice uneventful 2hr drive to the new house, and i arrived about 2:15pm (remember this time)

Got inside, went to unpack essentials (bed, food, clothes - not computer - i thought it was essential mum didn't!) then at about 7ish went out to find the nearest shop, and got back about 7:30ish. Had some dinner, then went to go get some stuff (computer etc) from the back seat of my car (all stuff was covered with my duvet, which i needed so i could sleep!) and noticed something black and stringy hanging from the side of my car.

Immediately thinking the worse, i went over and saw a cable hanging out of my car and the little window on the front of the passenger door was smashed. :| The little !=\/<|K£&$ had stolen my portable minidisc player and my mobile phone (cell phone) charger off of the front passenger seat - but they were hidden under a bloody A Level Computing text book! :|

Oh yeah, the time i noticed this...about 9pm, a whole....5 hours after i arrived here :|:|:|:| So a call to the police to report it, and insurance company (who said it's not covered cos they're not integral parts of the car, and i've only got 3rd Party Fire and Theft - covers costs to the other car(s) and if mine's stolen or goes up in flames) then a windscreen repair company, who came round today.

The cost for replacing the tiny little triangluar window (about 1ft high max 8 inches wide at the base) - £60!

And to top that, i'm on 56k dialup! :Q Over the past couple of weeks the telco company (ntl) have failed to contact us to arrange phone line and cable modem! So luckily my step dad (wow! that's the first time i've called him that!) continued his phone account (just transferred it to new house, it's still in the same sorta area) and i'm on 56k dialup (tho it's only connected at 33.6!)

So, overall, i'm pretty p!ssed off 🙁

And i'm really missing all my mates back in Colchester! That's the worse part about moving house 🙁

Oh well enough of my ranting now, but i had to let it all out, had no one to talk to about it really 🙁

Take care guys (and girls)

Garry

Edit: My mate's just read this, and this is what he said (and i think it's quite good): could have been worse i guess but those damn kids...:|

Sorry to hear you're having such a crappy day, Garry. I've had my stereo stolen from my car before and I know how pissed off you feel. I friggin' hate thieves. :| Lucky for me mine was covered by insurance. Of course, they only gave me $1250 of the $3000+ I had invested in my stereo.

Dasm insurance companies.

Anyway, I took some of that $$$ from insurance and purchased a Beretta 92FS SS. Warning to potential thieves in my area - don't get caught breaking into my place or my car because I'd like nothing more than to empty my clip into you. :disgust:

Aww man, I am so sorry! Time to find the little buggers and kick the ever-living crap out of them!

Sorry to hear you're move didn't turn out as good as it could have been🙁 Hopefully the rest will go better than the first part🙂

Am i that certain mate your refuring to?😕

Glad they didn't knick the other computer stuff off your back seat though!

Just remember us guys that are always on dial-up though and never get speeds in excess of 33k a sec, maybe you'll learn how to play CS the laggy way 😉

Have a good day tomorow m8 and cya soon

Alex 😀

I have had my entire truck stolen once, and my car stereo stolen twice from out side my work. Word of advice, dont keep anything of value in your car. Also just leave the friggin thing unlocked, that is what I do now. If they want to grab my piece of crap stereo now, they dont have to do $300 in damage to do it!

And if you ever run into the punks that grabbed your stuff, give em a good wack upside the skull for me eh!

damn them all confused ! i had my car bust into the other day ! bastardds took 20 CD's and bust my fekin window. thankfully insurance company (Tesco) replaced the glass for free ( would have cost £150 otherwise !) and my mam's buildings contents is replacing the CD's, so i've been quite lucky. MENTAL NOTE dont park car round back of shop in dark alley anymore /END MENTAL NOTE

oh man, sorry to hear that confused :Q

a couple of months ago, my friend had his 95 pontiac grand am stolen from outside the pizza place where he worked....
he had a fairly good stereo, speakers, etc in it...
plus his cell phone and his home made mp3 player.. (a celeron 533 I think) were in there
a couple of weeks later he got a loan, got an 89 accord...
a couple of days after he got it, it was at his house, and someone broke into it and stole 100 cds (he knows the exact number because his 100 sleeve cd holder was exactly full, and he still has all of the empty cases)
they stole his new deck, everything, and broke his door so he has to unlock his car from the passenger side
also they broke into his dad's car, stole his dad's laptop, pda, cell phone, cds, etc

and this is in rural maple valley, washington!
they didnt break into his stepmom's truck though cause she had her alarm on

they didnt even find his pontiac until a couple of days ago :disgust:

I feel ya. 🙁 In the summer of 2000, my car got broken into 3 faqing times. 3 CD players, 1 wallet(credit cards), PC parts that belonged to my employer at the time, and the green card that was in my wallet. The 3 break-ins happened in June, July, and August, and I ate the cost of the stolen PC parts(stupid me... I shouldn't be carrying those things as if the world is full of decent people who don't steal other people's sh!ts).

After the August break-in, I didn't have the strength to replace the CD player any more... I wasn't looking forward to September, let me tell you. Who would've thought that an 89 Ford Probe would be such a hot target among jackasses.
