Well, what en eventful couple of days 🙁
Where do i start! I know, how about yesterday morning. So, i get up, go get some cereal, put it down on the table, go to take a mouthful and knock the WHOLE bowl (and contents) all over my lap, chair and floor, so i spend the next 10 mins tidying that up!
Get the computer packed up (i find it difficult sleeping without the whirring of computers) and then went off to do my 2(!) computer science exams. I get them done (1hr for first, 40mins for second, had 1hr30min for each one...so lots of sitting round!) and then go to find one of my friends. I get a message from her asking where i am, so after that we meet up and sit on the grass talking for about 45 mins, then we walk over the other side of the school cos she's in all this week doing her art project, and was supposed to be finding old clothes (from the Lost Property) so we go over there, and she finds her umbrella she lost 4yrs ago! :Q So, after that, went over to my car, said goodbyes (and got lots of hugs and kisses (and, no i don't have pics of her!)) and then left for a nice uneventful 2hr drive to the new house, and i arrived about 2:15pm (remember this time)
Got inside, went to unpack essentials (bed, food, clothes - not computer - i thought it was essential mum didn't!) then at about 7ish went out to find the nearest shop, and got back about 7:30ish. Had some dinner, then went to go get some stuff (computer etc) from the back seat of my car (all stuff was covered with my duvet, which i needed so i could sleep!) and noticed something black and stringy hanging from the side of my car.
Immediately thinking the worse, i went over and saw a cable hanging out of my car and the little window on the front of the passenger door was smashed. :| The little !=\/<|K£&$ had stolen my portable minidisc player and my mobile phone (cell phone) charger off of the front passenger seat - but they were hidden under a bloody A Level Computing text book! :|
Oh yeah, the time i noticed this...about 9pm, a whole....5 hours after i arrived here :|:|:|:| So a call to the police to report it, and insurance company (who said it's not covered cos they're not integral parts of the car, and i've only got 3rd Party Fire and Theft - covers costs to the other car(s) and if mine's stolen or goes up in flames) then a windscreen repair company, who came round today.
The cost for replacing the tiny little triangluar window (about 1ft high max 8 inches wide at the base) - £60!
And to top that, i'm on 56k dialup! :Q Over the past couple of weeks the telco company (ntl) have failed to contact us to arrange phone line and cable modem! So luckily my step dad (wow! that's the first time i've called him that!) continued his phone account (just transferred it to new house, it's still in the same sorta area) and i'm on 56k dialup (tho it's only connected at 33.6!)
So, overall, i'm pretty p!ssed off 🙁
And i'm really missing all my mates back in Colchester! That's the worse part about moving house 🙁
Oh well enough of my ranting now, but i had to let it all out, had no one to talk to about it really 🙁
Take care guys (and girls)
Garry
Edit: My mate's just read this, and this is what he said (and i think it's quite good): could have been worse i guess but those damn kids...:|
