Store/Shipping Rant

My surface-mount Cat 5 box is almost broken. I figure I'll install a flushmount since I keep hitting into the surface mount box. I have the jack so all I need is the wallplate. Easy task you might say. I've been to my local hardware store, who had no idea what I was talking about but after searching, all I could find was phone supplies. Then I went to Home Depot. I see 6 port and 4 port wallplates but alas, no single (1 port) wallplates. I tried RadioShack since I passed it on the way home. I didn't think they'd have it but tried anyway. Walk in, ask the guy if they had it. He tries to sell me a wireless kit - I immediately walk out.

Now comes the biggest aggrevation. I search online and find exactly what I need. Drawback? A no-name site I found wants a minium of $20. A wallplate is around $1 and I really dont need 20. I even tried Newegg but alas I refuse to pay more for shipping than the actual product itself.

Maybe I'll get lucky and another Home Depot will have a 1 Port when I go exploring tomorrow...

They only had 2 ports in Almond. I wouldn't have minded if they were white.

But come on, why not carry a single-port wallplate?
