Storage issues in Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I've been racking my brain trying to figure out how to free up over 4g of supposed pictures and video on my phone's storage. I thought for sure all of my pics and videos were on my sd card or synced through one of my cloud apps (Dropbox or Google Drive). When I remove my sd card and check my gallery, it only shows a total of maybe 30 pictures and no videos, hardly enough to equate to over 4gs. Maybe I'm missing the obvious....HELP!
