Im tired of slow bootups(They're actually not REALLY slow like some people would describe them) and everything just slower pretty much because of my HDD, so thats why im getting a SSD. What I was planing on doing is, getting a 200GB+ SSD, and get a black friday deal on newegg. Now if im correct, all ill have to do is, plug in my SSD, boot up, get all of its firmware right make sure its working no problem. Get a CD that I will burn, with a boot up cloner, boot off of that(but first set CD drive as 1st priority so the CD boots up) Clone everything from my HDD to my SSD. After thats done, what do I do to wipe the HDD? Because im probably not right but I dont think you can boot into windows with 2 drives of the same exact stuff. So im wondering how im gonna wipe that without causing problems, and then just leave it in the computer as my secondary drive. Im horrible knowing what RAID setups or anything like that is, even if this isnt a RAID setup, just 2 drives, so if I had to do any configurations or anything... And is the OS (windows 7) just fine being cloned? That shouldnt bring up problems either right? Sorry im a noob at this, just trying to figure out how to do this transition.
