Anybody here work with SAN ?? I am very curious about this technology and would like to build me a small/cheap SAN just to play with. I know I can get an fiber channel array for about $1k from ebay, but I cant find one with build in raid controller. I can get fiber switch for around $1k or less, and fiber host controller cost less than $100 at ebay. I have 4 dell 600sc I would like to use connect to SAN. Well any ideas or info is appreciated...

I'm not used to the small gear but we use a large 192 port fiber channel switch to attach backup devices, hosts and disk subsystems. The raid is all contained in the EMC disk systems.
