Hi all this is really starting to bug me!!!

My main email account is a hotmail.co.uk one and i have MSN Messenger installed on system but do not use it all that often...and dont like looking at it in the system tray (i know it does not use much resources when offline-but i HATE it)

Anyway i keep removing it from msconfig --> startup and it adds itself back in there!!!!!!

Can i stop this from happening??? or do i have to live with this M$N pest?!?

Thanx all

Why not remove it from startup from within the Messenger application?

Are you certain it's not Windows Messenger that's loading? The two products are different, and I believe Windows Messenger pops up when you go to Microsoft Passport sites (like Hotmail).

Have you tried following the instructions in my link?
