Stop win 10 from installing

Went to shut down my laptop and saw that win 10 was going to install as a update.
Is there a way to stop this. I do NOT want win 10 until it has been out at least 6 to 8 months or more!!!!

Just went to shut down my desktop and the same thing. Win 10 will install as a update!!!


I don't want to fool around with this crap as I just had eye surgery and can't see very well to have to play around with software crap I do not want!!!!

Did you go into the windows update app and select what updates to install manually?

there is a list of 9 updates all are security updates nothing pointing to win 10. the only win 10 mrnyion is on the opening updatespage. there is a lets get started link to click on the opening page.
