STOP signing up for these silly download sites.

File shack, file planet, who the hell is signing up for these? It's gotten to the point where i can barely download a game demo without some asswipe of a site asking for me to login. Damnit, if I have to login to play your demo it's not worth it. But these sites are being encouraged by people (like some of you reading this) who keep signing up for this crap.

I've signed up with a few. I always make up names/pass that I can't remember, so I have to do it over whenever I need to download something new.

I totally agree with you. Signing up just to download free demos and stuff is crap and needs to stop. We should start an internet movement to boycott sign up downloading sites

Yeah, it's gotten to the point where it's almost easier to use shady means to aquire a demo than to download it legally. I got my UT2k4 demo on bit torrent. I guess bandwidth costs money, and the mirrors are all going to sell your signup info to marketers to get it.

Just because it's through bittorrent doesn't mean it's illegal.

Totally agree. I got the FarCry demo, UT2K4 demo and the latest Dessert Combat via Bittorrent. No signup, no waiting, pretty fast downloads... why even bother with anything else?

I did not say that it was. I merely said that it required shadier means. Think of it as buying your aspirin from a dope dealer instead of the drug store. It's not illegal, but shadier.

most of the good gamign sites now suck

i as well refuse to jump through hoops to get a demo...guess thats why i havent bought a new game lately

another pet peeve is trying to download from the games website and they link you to one of these stupid ass sites

Indeed. As far as demos go, that's perfectly legal, and what BT was designed for in the first place.
