Stop SATA Raid at boot on Asus A8N-SLI?

I want to stop my Asus A8N-SLI from bothering with SATA RAID at boot up, I'm not using it and it adds 30sec to my startup time.

Can this be stopped/removed?

I know the deluxe offers the Silicon image controller (red sata ports) and there is an option in the bios to disable it. If you have the nvidia only (black sata ports) then there is probably a raid option in the bios that can be disabled.

I have looked pretty closely at the BIOS and couldn't find anything, anyone with the A8N-SLI Deluxe managed to turn the Silicon image controller off?

Look under Advanced > Onboard Device Configuration in the bios.

- Onboard NV LAN : Enabled
- Onboard LAN BOOT ROM : Disabled
- Onboard Marvell LAN : Disabled
- AC97 Audio : Disabled
- PCI IEEE 1394a : Disabled
- Silicon Image SATA Controller : Disabled
- Serial Port1 Address : Disabled
- Parallel Port Address : Disabled
- Game Port Address : Disabled
- Midi Port Address : Disabled

If you don't see it then try updating to the latest bios.
