Some senior member please back me up on this. Every other hot deal in the last few days looks like a fantastic deal on the thread title but ends up being a typical equalfooting.com thing.

At $50.00 off $50.00 for first purchase, ANYTHING that adds up to just above $50.00 ends up being a good deal. But not everybody wants to read a new thread with a great title knowing that yet another person found a computer item at Staples.com that he/she purchased through equalfooting.com.

Enough is enough.

I apologize in advance for being so bold, coming from a junior member. I was a member before, but haven't posted in over a year, so I had to get a new ID a week ago.

WTF does it matter if you are a Junior Member or a freakin' Golden Member? Since you're a junior, somehow you're not worth enough - like your vote counts as 1/3 or something? I'm so sick of people apologizing for every damn thing they post for fear of being slammed by a "higher being".

Dude, make no excuses to the few rude ignorant a$$e$ that somehow make Senior member status w/o being kicked off the board. They're the ones not worth it.

Oh yeah, I TOTALLY agree with you! I was just about to post the same thing.

And to preempt the moronic posts:
[whine]
"This is the wrong section."
"Post in another section."

Normally I would agree but there's also quite a bit on their site that even with the $50 off it's still not close to being a hot deal. The ideal thing would be to mention the store in the the subject line. That would give a good heads up and avoid some time wasted looking at what a thread contains.

<rant> while i agree status (junior, member, senior, blah blah) does not matter (there is a great share of seniors that well, sould get demoted) it is purely based off posts quantity. One could sign up today and make 200 post with nothing but ^ (anyone remember that idiot) and in a matter of min. be a senior! this is rediculose (we should be promoted based off quality not quantity)(and actually this is how you become a elite)

At any rate let me be th first senior (not that is matters) to say you are 100% correct! A couple days ago when the whole rebate deal came up i went to their site and ordered somthing other than the memory (at the time that was the only EF post) at any rate i felt that people could figure out that X - $50.00 is a good deal so i di not post the item i bought (one of the newer EF posts incidently - see someone else did figure it out) anyway we could probably overload anand hotdeals forums with only EF - $50.00 posts. Ohh a keyboard! no wait a mouse! look at the mobo! Oh a scanner! get the point! one post is sufficient! in the meme post maybee we can just say or you can get this or this or this instead of 2,000,000 threads about EF!

Well after this long rant i am sure the mods will. Lock, delete, and/or move this post to offtopic as it is not a hot deal. But I agree it neded to be said, and not everyone reads the offtopic posts (as most of them are pretty dumb! </rant>

You are right! But if someone wants to post an item which seems potentially warm on equalfooting.com to save others time, i don't see a problem with that

www4ASearchcom

I was thinking about the same guy when read this Junior-Senior issue.

btw, posting the deal isn't prohibited but one should, at least, title that out with "EQUALFOOTING" name to signal other people who don't like it to skip reading and move over.

... or someone could just start a thread titled "EqualFooting Deals"... and keep everything in one place. Why clutter up the forum?

I agree AND disagree.

While having 20 posts on a same day may seem old and repetative and even the same kind of post even in a WEEK may seem tired to you guys that come here daily,

there are some of us that come here maybe 2 times MAX a week and even then just browse to see what we can find or ask a tech question.

Thus once might be sufficient for some, but those that are new..or that dont visit often, or simply ignore the threads that deal with certain items and thus dont know about that site in mention (i didnt until just now), it is still usefull.

(someones gotta play the other side of the ball :p )

I agree! I am getting sick of that crap. And I hate rebates too... But, junior members are fine... (has all or a significant amount of the equalfooting postings been by junior members?)

Sorry, couldn't resist - you left yourself wide open for that one by posting this thread....
