I get shocks a few times a day at the place that I work. expected sometimes, unexpected sometimes. any suggestion that I can avoid getting shocks? I am really paranoid touching any metals now :(

My new work - I get zapped everytime I touch the metal frame of the doorway, the handle, another person.

Keeping the air humid helps, but that's probably not really possible at work.

Option 1: Dilute some liquid fabric softener with water. Place solution in a spray bottle. Spray all over your car upholstery and carpet. Spray all over your carpet in the house.

Option 2: Rub dryer sheets over your car upholstery.

When getting out of the car, hold your key by the metal part and touch the key to the door or frame of the car. You still get a spark but it doesn't bother you because the spark is on the tip of the key instead of at your fingers.

Take extra care get rid of the static buildup if you have to go inside your machine, or you could end up owning a very expensive doorstop.
