Free Surf? Is that the name of the software? I couldn't find on on Google.

Sorry about that. It is Free Surfer. Here is a link to the homepage

Thanks. It does work, which makes it even more interesting. I guess my program has no advantage over it other than it's over 100 times smaller (16 KB over 1.7 MB :)).

Some interesting things:
It's written in VB which is why the installer is so big.
For some strange reason, it installs a mouse hook and can monitor your mouse operations.

Pardon me?
Did you find bugs with 0.6? I should mention that if you used 0.6, then 1.1 will not disable or enable Flash. I am fixing that as we speak :)

How about a Mozilla version? :)

I hate Flash, but once in a while, someone will find something funny that I wanna watch, and it does get a little annoying having to rename DLL's every time that happens.

Hehe, I will think about it.. It's just that then I'd have to detect where Mozilla is installed, blah blah... But I will think about it. For now, just use the #1 browser on the market (j/k) :)

Version 1.21 is available (a very minor update).

But I like flash!

you suck! :) Enjoy ad banners, then.

I dont browse all that much. So I dont see them all too often. I use flash for funny games i pick off of here.

I understand. I like funny Flash too, but then I just enable Flash. I read news at News.com, and they have HUGE animated banners there that really piss me off.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mozilla\Mozilla 1.3\Extensions\Plugins

There you go :)

Time to start using the best browser instead of the most popular one ;)

do you plan on selling this?

If not, why not open the source? You could even sign up for a sourceforge account, and have a cvs-server and mailing list setup for you.

Most importantly, flashout.sourceforge.net would be a cool URL to put in your resume.

I have a suggestion for you. Make the applet run in the systray intead of the taskbar. Make it so that the user can enable or disable it with a double click.

I got this:
To view this webpage, the Flash 5 player must be installed.

{ Download/Install }

{ Detect / Launch Again }

Is this a prompts from Internet Explorer or from the Website itself? My program makes Web sites think that Flash is not even installed.
