No bigdog, read the subtitle of this thread, you're wrong. You will be wrong no matter what you say in this thread, too.

Bonds is good without steroids. But you know what? He still has massive advantages that Babe Ruth and Hank Aaron never had. It doesn't matter if he does steroids or not, he has an advantage over previous athletes. Legal or not, he uses enhancements. Am I saying that its right to use steroids? Nah, but many many many of them still do, and they keep getting better and better, and so do the legal ones. Fact of the matter is, record books ARENT sacred and fair, and they wont be.

You steroid monkeys are whining for all the wrong reasons. You aren't complaining that he's hurting himself. You aren't complaining about the risks of steroids, you are whining about your precious record books, WHICH ARE TAINTED NO MATTER WHAT.

There. I'm right, you're wrong, you can try to argue, but you're still wrong.

jesus, are you really that arrogant? of course every record will one day be broken. i just expect it to be on the up and up, without shooting sh!t into their arms, or a shake, or a pill.

but im the asshole for expecting these athletes to at least be honest about their performance? get a clue.

edit: the only reason the books are tainted is because training is different than it used to be. back then, players didnt spend 8hrs a day working out. they spent that time drinking and womanizing.

Steroids are not shot into the arm or into a vein

If I had my way steroids and other performance boosters would be mandatory, and all uniforms would have spikes on them. They need to earn their millions by dying in the process. Also they should scatter weapons around the field like in the Mutant League video games. Only then would I watch sports.

Barry Bonds just hit himself another home run. Already.

So much for him only being good at FVCKING 41 because of steroids.

I am so tired of hearing people whine about steroids. Shut the hell up already. Performance enhancements will always be in sports, legally or illegally. Are you going to put an asterisk after every athlete with a record after the invention of Gatorade? How about a double asterisk after the perfection of reconstructive knee surgeory that allows an injured running back with a blown out knee to play another 10 years? Or maybe a triple after they made the ball in MLB livelier so that it would fly farther?

As time goes on, current athletes will ALWAYS have some sort of an advantage on the ones in the past, no matter what. Its just the way it is. Sure we'd like to see the old greats hold their records forever, but lets face it, it just won't happen. Todays athletes are bigger, faster, stronger, using steroids or not....and you know what? In 10 years, the stuff they will be able to mask will have 10x the affect that current steroids have.

So seriously, stop fvcking whining.....
^^ Classic case of 'roid rage.

No, I don't, because if someone breaks a record, he still had an advantage. Emmitt Smith may not have used steroids, but he still had advantages even Walter Peyton didn't have.

Older records are tainted, because, well, no matter how far back you go....every knew player has some sort of an advantage over the other. Is it fair that Marvin Harrison always had Peyton Manning to throw to him? What if Joe Horn had Peyton Manning? Maybe he'd be the best receiver of our day. There are so many variables, so many unfair circumstances & whatnot, you just can't single one out and whine about it, simply because its illegal. Sure, that makes it something to complain about, but not in the sense most people do. Steroids are bad because they are harmful to the athletes, because they are a bad example for kids, not beacuse they "ruin the competativeness of the game" or beacuse "they taint the recordbooks".
^^ Trails off into old-fashioned cranky irrelevance . . .

tell us how you really feel. 😕

my beef with steriods is that guys who use them *cough*Mark McGwire*cough* and get into the record books probably wouldn't be there without juicing. which isn't fair to the guys they bump out of records who don't use roids.

Actually I should add they can be injected into a few of the muscles of the arm or shoulder but never a vein
