stop at a stop sign? Poll

Okay, how many people do you think actually come to a complete stop at a stop sign? And I'm not talking about when you must stop because of cross traffic, pedestrian traffic, or a cop sitting there tryin to generate state revenue.

I'm not making a value judgment here, stopping at all of them wastes gas, time, and causes more wear and tear. For polling purposes, lets say 'I stop at stop signs' means you do so more than 90% of the time.

Go to such an intersection and watch, it's really amazing.

ive only not stopped at a stop sign once in 7 years of driving, never ran a red light
i say 9/10 people STOP at them

This poll sucks, maybe you should make some choices of where people stop more than they dont stop.

i make a full stop. if the intersection and the other signs are completly dead though, ill admit to doing a california rolling stop on occasion.

Just by the responses here it seems like more people stop than not. And from what ive seen of other peopel, they stop at intersections also.

I always stop. I may not always come to a complete stop (there's one stop sign on my way home from work where I can see the road in every direction for a good 50', and the intersection is almost always empty), but I definitely do the rolling stop at least.

No one in California stops if there are no cars in front of them or cross traffic to wait for. We just slow down to 1-2mph and then speed back up again.

i never stop at stop sign. I always slow down to less than 10mph. there is no need to stop unless there is car in the other end of intersection.

I got pulled over once for completely blew a stop sign at 30-40mph without even a slightly braking. I was lucky and the cop gave me a warning.

A complete and utter stop? I agree with the OP that the vast majority of people just slow down to a crawl and go, assuming there's no cross-traffic.

dude, 10mph is still moving...Slow down at least to 2-3mph. Also, I can't believe that cop gave you a warning...
