Well, this is a brand new reinstall of Windows, and upon installing both the latest and official beta drivers, I will get this error message after a couple of reboots:

0x0000007E (blah,blah,blah,blah)
No mention of any error names

I got this again just today, and once again limited it down to the NVIDIA ForceWare driver. Am I the only one having these BSODs with the ForceWare 80 drivers?

Nope...just happened out of the blue. I use AMD Cool 'n Quiet now just in case...

83.60s seem to be working for me now (but 82.12s used to be). I forgot to mention I did just try ATITool (the one with supposed support for NVIDIA cards) and that completely hard-locked the system. But before I was also getting another STOP error at bootup and I had not used ATITool at all. Deleting the ATITool driver completely and then reinstalling new drivers seem to help. Maybe something just got corrupted in the drivers in the crash. I did a chkdsk in the XP recovery console, but the error persisted until I went into safe mode and uninstalled the NVIDIA display drivers.

I had another thread with the 75 Hz refresh rate problem (75 Hz just no longer worked with 80 series drivers all of a sudden too).

whatever that works for you!
that's nice to hear

another thing that happened to me before was setting memory specs in my dfi
stock didn't handle too well...so i tweaked it a little bit and the problem went away

I'm gonna loop it overnight until this thing crashes again... (or until I get carpal tunnel syndrome)
