Yeah, I kind of felt that way too. Unfortunately, strung-out drug addicts always seem to make the best music.

Good. I still listen to some of their old stuff quite frequently, but their latest stuff... :frown:

Yeah, sadly that seems to be the case.

I woulda guessed it already happened, didn't even know they were still together.

Oh well... hard to continue with the success they had.

Never cared a whole lot for them anyway. :p They had a few good radio play songs though.

Nooooo! :(

STP is one of my fave bands. I knew Scott was always causin trouble but never thought it would actually be done and over with at this time. At least I got to see em live a couple of times and it was rockin.

R.I.P. STP :(...

Drugs always cause problems. :/

the new album, entitled 'thank you' is a greatest hits album with 1 new song on there plus a live performance of 'Plush'. stp was one of my favorite bands years ago, but after all the arrests and problems he ran into, i stopped listening right after 'songs from the vatican gift shop'. shame, they had some really good songs and albums, which i still enjoy to this day. 'core' is one of my all-time favorite rock albums. sucks to see them go due to scott's demons that he cant seem to battle.

on a side note, i hear velvet revolver (scott weiland + g'n'r - axl) are to release their album early next year. after hearing their cover of pink floyd's 'money', i am kind of curious about this next album, as i enjoyed the song and felt it was a nice throwback to scott weiland's older vocals that he lent to such albums as 'purple' and even a bit on 'vatican gift shop'.

i thought they blew goat after core really, save for some singles off of purple, purple as
an album stank. and the rest was down hill. i liked stuff off tiny music, being a fan, but no one
else did.

*shugs* Long past caring. Wasn't their last CD Songs From The Vatican Gift Shop? It pretty much blew. No biggie.

Ya, it can't be the same when sober. Maybe that's why the latest metallika album hurls.

They're first CD provided some excellent mood music with the ladies back in my high school days:). Thanks Scott!

Nah. Metallica never did the heavy sh!t anyway.. it was just alcohol.

Nothing wrong with the new Metallica album. If it isn't your thing, then it isn't your thing. Personally, I don't really care for it.. but that is the beauty of art. You don't have to. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Hmm.. Eye of the Beholder.. good song.
