My friend ordered a Canon S330 from Dell during the time they had 15% off, but Airborne Express said they left it outside our door! However, we live in apartment complex. What steps should he take to make sure he gets his camera?

i thought Dell required a signature. In fact, i am positive they do. I have a Dell package sitting next to me that says "Adult Signature Required"

Call dell. They should be able to take care of it. I know that BUY.com did when the postman gave my package to my next door neighbor but they denied having it.

yep, Airborne Express REQUIRES a sig. to leave it. Call Airborne and find out if there is one. Even floppy drives from Dell require this.

You should try to contact airborn express and also tell dell what happened...im sure there is some insurance or something or an option that says somewhere in thier help that deals with not recieving a package

You should have all packages shipped to the apartment office. They might have just as well labeled it "crack!" and left it in Inkster, Mi.

That is not true actually. I had something shipped Airborne Express to me last wednesday, 2 day shipping. I was at home Friday, heard the doorbell ring and was all excited. When I get to the door, I didn't see anyone, not even a truck. But I did see my box outside the house leaning next to my door on the wall.

Not to mention, this was a $125 grille for my car. It isn't TOO expensive, but it was a big box. About 4 feet tall. But I didn't need to sign anything, and no one else was at my house either. They just left it there.

Everything Dell ships through Airborne has a sig. requirement. Every package i have gotten from dell(literally coming up on 1000) have required them.

some things do, some things don't, and it seems completely random. i'm guessing that the distributor has a lot to do with it.

Will Dell and Airborne Express, it is always the same. I just got a floppy drive today with adult sig. required.

thats why he should check Airborne Express. It should be pretty easy to determine if a signature was forged.
