Stolen car update.

Well, it's getting near the end of the day, and this is what's happened:

Ebay called me back, and gave me a fax number where a police officer can send his info so that ebay will release information regarding a seller to him.

I called a shop that rebuilt my blower in 2001, and they looked me up in thier records and called me back with the serial number for the supercharger that's being auctioned.

I left messages with two different sections at the police department, neither one has called me back. Everyone else has been more helpful than the police so far.

locked because of stupid idiots flaming..

edit: good to hear the news notfred... best of luck to ya. 🙂

Glad to hear that there's *some* progress being made, although it sucks that the cops are dragging their feet. I have to say that I'm surprised that ebay's being so helpful -- I guess they probably have a good policy for dealing with stolen items by now.

Good luck with it!

A certain toolbox spammed/flamed/trolled it into oblivion. Hopefully he's banned now and won't ruin this one.

Hope things work out for you notfred. Thieves suck in any capacity.

Have you tried going down to the police station...its a lot harder to ignore someone standing there then a phone call...but they seem to do a good job at both

Was going to type this in the other thread, but bidding on that auction with that particular screenname was not a bright idea.....

How do you know he didn't? 😉

Good luck notfred. Keep bugging the police if they won't return your calls.

Good luck with this tyler.

Just a thought, what if the seller stole the image from another seller who actually sold the stolen part. With all the attention he's about to get, he may actually learn to think twice before using other peoples images. 😛

I guess it's possible, but what do you expect when you use pictures of stolen property in your auctions? He'll take his own pics from now on if that's the case.
