I was in the lunch line at school today and somone took my wallet out of my back pocket. The kid next to me was yelling "wtf happened to my wallet," and I was just confused. I guess some persone was trying to take everyone's wallets. I had a gym card and a block buster card that I can replace, twenty dollars, but most importantly I had my driving permit. Does anyone know if these are replacable? I'm pretty pissed about this, and I just needed to rant to you guys.

It'll take a few weeks, but contact your local DMV and they'll have the forms to fill out.

Yeah, the DMV will issue you a new one. You will need to fill out some forms and probably pay a minimal fee (~$15).

I would beat the crap out of whoever took it, but I have no idea. Basically it's gone. I just hope that I don't have to wait in the line at the DMV. It's typically about 4-5 hour wait.

Do you know the kid next to you very well?
The one that was yelling "wtf happened to my wallet?"
It may have been a ploy/cover as he took your wallet and concealed it some where on his body.

Wallet and PDA in front pocket. Period. Keys with wallet, in jacket inside pocket or in cargo pants. never put anything in your back pocket.

Sorry to hear that though... schools are loud mouth places... the kid will turn up eventually

Also a lttle tip, it is a good idea to carry your wallet in one of your front pockets. For some reason I started out doing that and never changed. It also is nicer when you sit down, you don't have to sit on a lump and it is more difficult to pick pocket.

THe thing I find with front pocket wallet is that Im more worried that it will fall out since the front pockets on my khakis are way looser then my back pocket.

Me either. It would drive me crazy. I never have any damn money anyways. If someone stole my wallet they'd be very disappointed.

I carry my wallet in my back pocket, but I make sure that all my pants have buttonable back pockets.

I carry my wallet in my back pocket as well, money is always in the front pockets though. I cant imagine not turning around when someone pulled it out of my back pocket no matter what was going on.

You would think so but thieves are clever. They practice their "art".

I saw this magician on TV once who would literally steal people's watches/jewlery right in front of them. He gave it all back of course, but just illustrated how nimble the pros are.
