I've done with my rant if anyone who lost a fortune you know you are the victim of give all your money to scumbag and you should not blame yourself. Since it really is their fault and they are the one controlling the market, not you.

OK, your statement makes one thing apparent. You have no idea what hte stock market is. I'll start withthe basics:
Stock

Yahoo.com:
Ownership of a corporation indicated by shares, which represent a piece of the corporation's assets and earnings.

Dictionary.com
The capital or fund that a corporation raises through the sale of shares entitling the stockholder to dividends and to other rights of ownership, such as voting rights

You see, stocks are not like baseball cards. Owning stock in a company is equivilent to being part owner of a larger company or corporation. in the long run, you will win.

Gambling is not even soemething worth comparing to the stock market. It proves your ignorance. At a casino, unless you are playing poker, you will loose in the long run. With the stock market, using a diversified protfolio, you will profit over time. Notice I used "loose" in reference to a casino and "profit" (not "win" which is the opposite of "loose") when referring to the stock market.

I don't know why I wasted my time writing this.... Here we go again... fasten your seat belts....

Actually, he's right. Stocks and mutual funds are very much for fools. But some fools can make money instead of being parted from it.

You're a moron so I can't even be bothered to read the first paragraph. Stocks/mutual funds/index funds are the best investment vehicles for the average person. Going on about recent numbers just further evidences your stupidity. Historically the market does well and grows at a strong rate. Investing in it is one of the best ways of give oneself a strong financial future.
To hell with the stock market and the crook behind it, which has destroyed many people financial savings including mine.
Then you're a jackass. You likely threw it all into enron or something. Anybody who is investing but has never heard the word diversification deserves what they got.

LMFAO! That was my favorite part, too. The crook behind the stock market!!!!! HAHAHAHAHA!
There's like this little dude who sits in the basement of the NYSE and he kills the stock prices and then bumps up the prices on stocks he and his friends own!

PAY NO ATTENTION TO THE MAN BEHIND THE CURTAIN!!!!!

If you think the stock market is a "game" then you missed the point...

Yep. You're looking at one right here. I stupidly thought that the stock market would go higher and higher and started investing my measly 401k back in 98 into all tech mutual funds with little diversification. Didn't pay much attention to it, and I can tell you now it's not worth much. But I was young and foolish, now I know better. Hey can't say I didn't learn from my mistakes. I'm a LOT more cautious in my investing, and a LOT more diversified.
Perhaps RobCur could learn from his mistakes rather than be bitter and abandon the whole stock market.
