Stock vs. GC68, advice please!

Hi,

I am running an XP1600+ system on Epox 8kha+, Stock HSF (piece of trash Coolermaster) and an Antec case. I only have one 80mm fan as intake right now (looking to get another one for exhaust in the back). My Cpu temps usually to hover around 43C idle and 48C load with the case temp at 27-29C at all times. I was wondering if the GC68 would help drive the temps down to the high 30s range (38-39)? How much better does it perform than the stock HSF? I'm not looking to spend too much on a heatsink because I have no real interest in OCing (maybe some minor FSB OCing). Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also, anyone heard good things about the Dynatron Dy1206BH-625?

If you're not going to OC at all then what's the point of getting a new HSF? You have a three year warranty so those "high" temps can't hurt you.

Keep the heatsink and your wallet in your pocket. I love my GC68, but in your case, there really is no reason to swap out your heatsink unless maybe if you wanted to make your system more quiet.

If it ain't broke, don'f fix it!
