Stock strategy- buy just b4 divendends are released. sell the day after

find a stock or mutual fund that offers 10%+ div, but just b4 the divs are released, sell the day after. very low volitility.

So why isnt everyone doing this?

because they price the stock to drop the same amount as the dividend.

the price of your fund drops when dividend/cap. gain are payout. That's why you see the Price of your Fund last month drop 10%

Wow, that's a good idea! I hate Apple fanboys (like the products, but hate the fanboys), so it would be nice to profit from them :)
