Hi all, I'm wondering if the stock retail thermal pad or TIM on the HSF unit for a 4400+ X2 64bit CPU is any better than they used to be, or should I still use AS5? I wanted to ask before it installed the CPU. Looks like it MIGHT be improved since I base that upon the HS that came with this CPU actually uses heat pipe technology. I couldn't find a photo of one, all I could find was an image of one that uses only 2 pipes and this one is a bit taller.... link , this one I have uses FOUR pipes, looks like one side of some exhaust headers from a V8 engine, and the copper base is a little larger.

To complicate matters, AMD is using a fan on this that "doesn't exist" according to search engines! # AFC0812DD. So, I have no idea what the freakin' CFM, RPM, or static air pressure is for the fan, therefore if I needed a fan with more air pressure or CFM I don't which fan I have that would have more! It's an 80x20mm (that's 20 and not 25mm) and by Delta.

Thanks. ;)
